Budgits Privacy Policy (interim)

Effective: 16 October 2026

This is our interim privacy policy. Budgits is not yet open to the public. It is in private testing by invitation only, and it does not yet accept real bank data. Before Budgits accepts any real bank data or opens to the public, we will publish a full privacy policy and tell anyone on our founding list.

1. Who we are

Budgits is run by Budgits Planner Pty Ltd (ACN 702 631 712, ABN 71 702 631 712), an Australian company.

Contact us about privacy:

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers:

  1. our website, budgits.com and budgits.com.au;
  2. our founding list;
  3. emails you send us; and
  4. people we invite to test the Budgits app before launch.

3. What we collect, and why

Founding list. If you join our founding list, we collect your email address. We use it to send you news about the Budgits launch and our founding offer, which you asked to receive. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing hello@budgits.com.

Emails to us. If you email us, we keep your name, email address and what you wrote, so we can reply and keep a record of our conversation. Please do not email us bank statements, account numbers or passwords.

Testers. If we invite you to test Budgits, we collect your name and email address to send the invitation, and the feedback you choose to give us. During testing, the app uses made-up sample households and test data. Please do not upload real bank statements or real account details while Budgits is in testing. If you do upload something by mistake, tell us and we will delete it.

Website visits. Our website does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep basic technical records, such as IP addresses and the time of each request, for security and to keep the site running.

5. Keeping information safe

We use reasonable steps to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, encrypted storage, two-step sign-in for our own accounts, and access limited to the company director.

6. How long we keep it

  • Founding list: until you unsubscribe, or until we no longer need it for the launch, whichever comes first.
  • Emails: for as long as we need them to deal with your question, and to keep business records the law requires.
  • Tester details and feedback: until testing ends, unless you become a customer.

When we no longer need information, we delete it.

7. Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@budgits.com. We may need to check who you are first.
